Invitation to the Annual Meeting from the Chamber President

Greetings to all of our Chamber members.  That time of year is upon us as plans are being made for the 69th Annual Meeting of the Creston Chamber of Commerce.  It has been an exciting year for the Chamber and we would like to invite you to celebrate with us on November 11th at the Supertel Inn & Conference Center.

We will kick off the evening with a social hour at 6:00 p.m.  The Annual Meeting will follow dinner.  At this time we will acknowledge members who joined the Chamber in 2008, recognize the Citizen of the Year, announce the Leadership and Youth Awards, elect officers and Board Members and thank several individuals who have helped make our year productive.

Please mark your calendars for November 11th and plan to be with us for this special evening.

Sincerely,

Francis Doyle, President
And
The Creston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

October Hi-Fives For Great Customer Service Goes Out To

Ralph Edwards, for, “continuing to care about Creston and quietly continuing to help.  Thank you.”

John Cook, Cook Video & Appliance, for, “his concern for his customers and going beyond the call of duty.”

Ken Hudson, for, “his help and support in the community.  Thank you so much.”

Congratulations to all.

Remember all you need to do to have someone honored with a Hi-Five is to call the Chamber to acknowledge individuals and businesses that have given excellent customer service or gone that extra mile for you the customer.  We need to acknowledge this effort and show our appreciation.  Please call Ellen at 782-7021 to share your Hi-Five.

Where to Park?????

The Chamber has received many calls from customers and storeowners asking us to remind everyone that parking in front of or around a business should be left open for customers.  Please remember your neighbors as well.

Directors Thoughts

I want to begin this month by thanking all of you.  Now you are probably asking yourself, what is she talking about?  I am talking about the concern and support for Creston that Chamber members have.  This is something that I am well aware of, but sometimes I think is lost on many in our community. I wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you and to say thank you.

Where would Creston be without your many businesses that bring people into our community?  There certainly would not be any Balloon Days or on a different scale, 10,000 Crestonians would be a much, much smaller event.   If Chamber members did not buy yearbook space or support the various youth activities or groups what would happen?  I could continue, but I hope you are getting the point. Thank goodness we have such people in the community.  You are truly promoting and showcasing the community for now and the future.

Thank you all so very much. You are appreciated.

Holiday Calendar

In the November Chamber Newsletter we will include a calendar of Holiday Happenings and Events.  If you would like your event included, please give Ellen a call by
